About Our Kits
What is a paint by numbers kit?
A paint by numbers kit is a pre-printed canvas divided into numbered sections, each corresponding to a specific paint color. Simply match the number on the canvas to the numbered paint pot and fill it in — no artistic experience needed. It's a relaxing, screen-free activity that results in a beautiful piece of art you created yourself.
What's included in each kit?
Every UnwindCanvas kit includes:
- High-quality pre-printed canvas (rolled or framed, depending on your choice)
- Set of acrylic paints — one pot per color, pre-mixed and ready to use
- 3 paint brushes (fine, medium, and wide)
- Reference image of the finished painting
- Easy-to-follow instructions
Is it suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Our kits are designed for all skill levels — from complete beginners to seasoned artists looking for a mindful creative outlet. The numbered system guides you through the entire process, so there's no guesswork involved.
What type of paint is included?
We use high-quality, water-based acrylic paints. They are non-toxic, quick-drying, and easy to clean with water. The colors are vibrant and mix seamlessly on the canvas.
What canvas sizes are available?
Our standard kits come in sizes ranging from 16×20 in to 24×32 in. Custom kits may vary depending on the image and your preference. The available size options are shown on each product page.
Can I frame the finished painting?
Yes! Our canvas fits standard frame sizes, making it easy to display your finished artwork. We also offer kits that come pre-mounted on a wooden frame, so it's ready to hang the moment you finish painting.
Custom Kits
What is a Custom Kit?
A Custom Kit lets you turn any personal photo — a family portrait, a pet, a landscape, a special memory — into a paint by numbers canvas. You upload your photo, we generate the numbered canvas from it, and ship it directly to you.
What kind of photo works best?
For best results, we recommend:
- Clear, high-resolution photos (at least 1 MB)
- Good lighting — avoid very dark or heavily shadowed images
- Simple backgrounds with a clear main subject
- Photos where faces are clearly visible (if applicable)

How long does a Custom Kit take?
Custom kits require an additional 3–5 business days for production before they are shipped. Total delivery time (production + shipping) is typically 2–3 weeks.
Can I see a preview before it's produced?
Currently we do not offer previews before production. However, if you are unsatisfied with the result upon arrival, please contact us and we will work to make it right.
Can I return a Custom Kit?
Because custom kits are made specifically from your photo, they are non-refundable once production has started. However, if your kit arrives damaged or the quality does not meet expectations, we will replace it or issue a refund. See our Refund Policy for full details.
Orders & Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Orders can be modified or cancelled within 24 hours of being placed. After that, production or fulfillment may have already started and we may not be able to make changes. Contact us as soon as possible at contact@unwindcanvas.com.
Will I receive an order confirmation?
Yes. A confirmation email is sent automatically as soon as your order is placed. Check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.
Do you charge sales tax?
Tax may be applied depending on your country or state, in accordance with local regulations. Any applicable taxes will be shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
Shipping
How long does shipping take?
Most orders are delivered within up to 10 business days after dispatch. During peak seasons (such as November–January), delivery may take up to 20–25 business days. See our full Shipping Policy for details.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — we ship worldwide. Our main markets are the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Europe, but we deliver to most countries globally.
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. You can use that number on the carrier's website to follow your package. Please allow 48–72 hours after receiving the email for tracking to update.
My order says "delivered" but I haven't received it. What do I do?
First, check with neighbors or building management — packages are sometimes left with a neighbor or in a common area. Also contact your local post office. If the package is still missing after 2–3 business days, reach out to us at contact@unwindcanvas.com and we'll help resolve it.
Will I have to pay customs duties or import taxes?
International orders may be subject to customs fees or import duties depending on your country. These charges are not included in our prices and are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your local customs office if you have questions.
Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unused, unopened items. Contact us first at contact@unwindcanvas.com — do not send anything back without confirmation from our team. See our full Refund Policy.
My kit arrived damaged. What should I do?
We're so sorry to hear that. Please email us at contact@unwindcanvas.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the damage. We'll send a replacement or issue a full refund — no need to return the item.
How long does a refund take?
Once approved, refunds are processed within 5–10 business days back to your original payment method. Your bank may take a few additional days to reflect the credit.
